Maria Barnes…

*Completed and pushed for implementation of the Lewis Study, a unique plan along Lewis that assures protection of the surrounding neighborhood;

*Supports neighborhoods throughout the City of Tulsa, and has helped rebuild and strengthen neighborhood associations;

*Reestablished community-wide District 4 Town Hall meetings to gather input from her constituency and to provide needed information;

*Has brought citizens together with City Police and Fire Departments to improve public safety and fight crime;

*Strives to save the city money by looking for new sources of income and seeking cost-saving alternatives;

*Has worked hard to improve parks, streets, and other infrastructure in District 4;

*Is a member of the Steering Committee for the Comprehensive Plan Update and plays a key role in establishing a vision of Tulsa for the future;

*Created a task force to establish appropriate standards for group homes;

As your City Councilor, Maria Barnes will:

*Fight to keep the Drillers in Tulsa where they belong;

*Protect historic buildings and assure quality development downtown and throughout District 4;

*Fight for long-term solutions to protect our city from reckless infill development;

*Promote River development

*Work with other City Councilors to find innovative methods for funding streets.
